Compassionate Home Care Senior Care Officer Needed

Aim of post: 

Efficiently manage the day to day running of the office. Allocate resources and monitor performance to deliver a responsive high-quality service to the all the stakeholders of the community and in line with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and within Care Quality Commission Key Line of Enquiries (KLOE).

Objectives: 

To undertake duties which are considered appropriate to the post. Exercise leadership and promote a good relationship between staff, service users, and outside agencies.

Duties:

·       Most be competent using Microsoft and bespoke computerized software.

·       Audit compliance and keep accurate records

·       Prepare for CQC inspections and ensure compliance with

·       Be aware of Essential Standards of quality and safety.

·       Act within RCS Care Code of practice.

·       Audit Service user medication audits assessments and reviews.

·       Recruit staff arrange interviews appraisals supervisions.

·       Monitor and update staff records on Care planner/Birdie

·       Complete and oversee BDS checks and Home office recruitment checks

·       Monitor absences, holidays and standards of care.

·       Monitor staff and work and training to maintain standards of care.

·       Carry out unannounced spot checks.

·       Keep open clear lines of communication between staff service user’s family members and

·       other stake holders.

·       Arrange attend and contribute monthly staff meetings and weekly office meetings,

·       Keep the care staff and service users informed of any changes that may occur.

·       Deal with complaints and compliments in a timely manner.

·       Receive and process new referrals and allocate staff with the right skill set.

·       Ensure where needs assessments are carried out, a support personalised plan is created

·       Arrange reviews, risk assessments and supervision for care staff and key workers.

·       Partake in mandatory training PLUS additional courses for your personal development.

·       Join focus groups social care, social media, online recruitment CQC and Skills for Care.

 

Health and safety: To work within RCS Health and Safety policy. Ensure the principles and practices of Infection Control are adhered to throughout the workforce.

The post holder will be required to understand the running of Reflections Community Support and will be expected to work within the boundaries of the company policies. As well as to respect the confidentiality of all information given and received by management, staff, and service users.

Due to the position of your post you are required to cover weekdays, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. This level of cover includes both administration and covering care calls.
